On Black Women's Professional Visibility

Part of the discussion will be led by Courtney McCluney, co-academic researcher of ‘Conditions of visibility’ — an important piece of research that supports the need of a platform such as #blackwomenipr

McCluney will discuss the four conditions of visibility the study suggests black women are subject to. Measured by the paradox of belonging and distinctiveness, they are: 1.precarious visibility; 2.invisibility; 3.hypervisibility, and 4.partial visibility.

You are invited to take part in the discussion and share your thoughts on the importance of visibility as black female professional communicator as well as ideas on how to best increase this visibility.
